On May 27, Qrius published an op-ed by Majid Jafar, CEO of Crescent Petroleum, explaining why COVID-19 recovery efforts must focus on ensuring young people have the skills they need to thrive in the jobs of the future. As Jafar stated, "The onus is now on policymakers and business leaders to help retool and train these young people for the new world of work."
The piece noted Crescent Petroleum's partnership with Education For Employment, stating, "In the first quarter of 2021, EFE-Jordan, EFE-Palestine and EFE-Egypt have trained 2,075 young people, more than two-thirds of them women, with new skills and with job placement support."
We are grateful for Crescent Petroleum's generous contribution to EFE's Catalyst Fund, and look forward to our continued partnership in the future. Read the full story here.
